Should we have a dentist on every street in the uk?

Certainly not. I live in a nice residential street and do not want to be bothered by screams of pain as dentists extract money from their private patients! :D

Seriously though we need to change the system. Perhaps Dentists should have a grant but conditional that they spend say first five years 100% NHS patients, next five years 90% and so on until after 25 years they can go 100% private. That way the NHS (aka the taxpayer) gets a good return as well as having newly trained dentists and they can earn their money in private practice towards the end of their professional life. :)
