When will the economy recover?

Just wanted to see when everyone else is expecting things to pick up.

I can see things picking up by the end f the year, i say this as everytime i go shopping it looks as busy as ever, so it seems we could be spending our way out of this recession.....

I also have a firend in the new car business and he says things are really picking up on his end, not what they were 2 years ago, but improving all the same.

my husband has a small furniture store that sells old reconditioned furniture, which is just as cheap as teh Ikea stuff, but much better quality.

He says that the business is better than ever as people spending money now are buying better quality products that are keenly priced, rather than the cheap flat packs that only have to be skipped in 5 years.

do we believe this....i can see signs....shops are much more busy now, but it is xmas i suppose....the figures next year from teh british retail people will tell..
